Yes it is, we where looking at a ST4 . Then we came across this shaft drive and hopefully cheaper maintance. The rear seat has less of a slop on it it came with all the luggage , and when you take the panniers off you have no unsightly metal work of the pannier frames. The panniers are slightly bigger. THis one is 2005 so its a lot newer than i could have got an ST for , price wise the ST was only a couple Thousand dollars cheaper.
